Terms of Service
Actual Budget — personal instance · Effective 18 September 2026
1. Scope
These terms govern the use of the private, self-hosted Actual Budget instance ("the Application") operated by Adrian Atanasov ("the Operator"). The Application is a personal budgeting tool for the Operator's sole use. It is not offered, licensed or made available to the public, and no third party is granted access to it.
2. Purpose and functionality
- The Application displays the Operator's own bank account balances and transactions alongside a manual envelope budget.
- Bank data is retrieved read-only through PSD2 account information services provided via Enable Banking (the licensed account information service provider) using the bank's official APIs. The Operator authorises each account individually through the PSD2 consent flow.
- The Application has no payment initiation capability. It cannot move money, create transfers, set up direct debits, or change anything at the bank.
- The Application is not a financial, accounting, tax or investment advisor, and produces no advice. All figures are informational only.
3. Access
Access is restricted to the Operator through authentication over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Unauthorised access attempts are not permitted. Bank access requires the Operator's own strong customer authentication at the bank, and consents expire after the validity period granted by the bank (typically up to 90 days), after which re-authorisation is required.
4. No warranty
The Application is provided "as is", for private use, without warranty of any kind. Bank data is supplied by banks and the aggregation provider and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate; the Operator does not rely on it as an authoritative record. No availability, uptime or fitness-for-purpose guarantee is given.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from use of or reliance on the Application. This is not intended to limit any mandatory rights under Bulgarian or EU consumer law.
6. Data protection
Processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Contact: adrianstorm546@gmail.com
7. Third-party services
Bank connectivity relies on Enable Banking's services and the Operator's bank PSD2 interfaces. Their own terms and privacy notices apply to their processing. Interruption or withdrawal of those services may make bank synchronisation unavailable without notice.
8. Changes and termination
These terms may be updated with the Application; the current version is always available at this address. The Operator may discontinue the Application at any time, which ends all processing of bank data.
